This is my first Cover Girl product, ever and I love my Wetslicks Fruit Spritzer in Watermelon Splash. I like it’s sheer shine and light shade. The smell’s divine and taste isn’t all too bad either. Whilst I was playing with the whole set of these Spritzers at Priceline, I thought Watermelon Splash would suit me best for its shade versatility.
Coverage-wise isn’t too great. However, I’m not fussed on this as it is meant to be a sheer application and does give a nice sheen to your lips. After all, it’s formulated to be conditioning like a lip balm. Thus, I’m happy with its’ effect.
Looking at the tube, Watermelon Splash looks like a frighteningly bright red color. However, Watermelon Splash is a beautifully sheer, bubblegum pink with a slight tinge of red tint sort of color which applies well on its own but is also perfect to match and layer with other lippies.
I can wear this shade alone and I can layer it on top of other lip colors. It’s beautiful! It’s also high in moisture and my lips feels hydrated without the usual stickiness that’s associated with most lip balms.
Only qualm I have about this product is that it doesn’t last too long. The sheer color and shine goes off after just 1-2 hours, however, the moisture seems to stay on, a fact I’m most pleased about.
Cover Girl Wetslicks Fruits Spritzers comes in 10 shades – Berry Splash, Lemon Splash, Papaya Splash, Tangerine Splash, Watermelon Splash, Raspberry Splash, Strawberry Splash, Grape Splash, Plum Splash and Cool Cocoa Mint Splash.
However, all that aside, for $9.95, I definitely would love to give the other colors a try as well. I’d be sure to update with swatches and commentaries when I do. It’s nice and moisturizing enough to use just as a tinted lip balm. Definitely gonna try the others!
