I have become way too addicted to the mineral makeup frenzy. But, sigh, alas, I can’t seem to stop myself as they’re just so gorgeous on the skin and I have become a fan of mineral blushes (as you can see as well). Bottomline, at the moment, provided the price is right, I’m really willing to try almost anything. My skin isn’t sensitive so really, it agrees to a lot of products, hence why you probably read of me gushing more about products rather than complaining about them. Since mineral makeup can be found quite easily and being really affordable to top it off, it’s no wonder that I’ve been chucking all my dollars that way.
I too don’t believe in spending too much of my dollars in just one or two pricey products when I could get more value out of a more affordable one. However, if the pricey one really does produce miracles, then yeah, I might give it a shot. Otherwise, I’d always seek for cheaper alternatives that does the job just as well.
We’ll see just which way my collection grows in the future as this beauty blog further takes its shape and progress. This collection compilation has been a true eye-opener for me in knowing what I actually have on my dresser. I guess you never realize until you’ve got them all lined up that way. Take note though that I’ve trimmed down my collection quite a bit since I’ve thrown away quite a number of stuff that to me seems overdue after hitting realization when I did the Shelf Life post.
So, here goes…..My Very Modest Makeup Collection!!!

Mineral Makeup Foundation and Powder
A – Maybelline Angelfit Ultra Natural Affinity Foundation
B – Signature Minerals 6.0 Mineral Foundation
C – Signature Minerals Foundation Samples in 5.3, 6.0, 7.0 and 10.0
I love my mineral foundation so much! That’s all I wear now. But I do use the Maybelline compact to touch up at work.
Mineral Makeup Finishing Veils & Concealers
A – Signature Minerals Angel Wings Finishing Veil
B – Signature Minerals Soft Radiance Finishing Veil
C – Signature Minerals Bisque Concealer
D – Signature Minerals Soft Sun Color Corrector
Reviews coming up on the concealers. Without a doubt, I’m a happy camper when it comes to those finishing veils. Really makes a difference to my made-up look. With the Bisque as an all over concealer, I feel that I like the look even better.
Blushes

A – Bloom Blush – Hibiscus
B – Signature Minerals Desiree Peach
C – Signature Minerals Adobe Sunset
D – Silk Naturals Climax
E – Silk Naturals Lovelace
F – The Body Shop Bronzer
G – Silk Naturals Forbidden
H – Signature Minerals Damask
I – Signature Minerals Seashell
J – Signature Minerals Roseberry
K – Silk Naturals Wish You Were Here
L – Silk Naturals Babydoll
M – Silk Naturals Pretty Plum
N – Silk Naturals Bronzed Beauty
O – Pure Luxe Heart
P – Pure Luxe Flirt
Okay, I know. I have too many blushes. Let me tell you though I love rotating between them and I enjoy seeing the different shades on my cheeks on a daily basis. So yes, I’m in love with my whole blush collection and I can assure you that it’ll grow bigger as blushes just happen to be a fancy of mine.
A – Bloom Lagoon
B – Bloom Pistachio
C – Bloom Night Sky
D – The Body Shop Shimmer Waves 01 Bronze
E – Missha The Style Eye Shadow
F – Rimmel Mousse Eyeshadow in Get Fresh
G – Missha The Style Creamy Eyes
H – Signature Minerals Champagne Pearl Eyeshadow
I’m not really an eye-shadow person, but I do buy it from time to time. It’s usually the standard neutral sort of colors that would draw me in and attract my attention. So in the whole collection, I probably really use only The Body Shop Shimmer Waves and the Missha ones. I have yet to try my new mineral makeup eyeshadow. My sister has used it though, and she seems to like it.
A – Bobbi Brown in Nude
B – Benefit Nice Knickers
C – Stila in Morgan
D – Pocketpal
E – Missha The Style Lip Gloss
F – Blistex Lip Balm
G – Silk Naturals Berry Crush
H – Silk Naturals Breathless
I – Silk Naturals Rare Berry
My other weakness apart from blushes would be lippies. In fact, if I could afford to get all the lip colors that are available in any particular collection or brand name, I would. I just love rotating between lippies as much as I love rotating between my blushes. This is another collection I’m dying to build up. Another fancy of mine.
Benefit Palettes

Valley of the Stars and Big Beautiful Eyes Palettes.
Very very useful palettes! I especially use a lot of Boi-ing and the gloss, High Beam and Moon Beam tubes. My faves!
Eyeliner Collection

A – MAC Powerpoint Eye Pencil in Permaplum
B – Bloom Eye Definer in Black
C – Maybelline Line and Design Eyeliner
D – Maybelline Unstoppable Smudge Proof Eyeliner in Jade, Black, Sapphire and Beige Brown
E – The Body Shop Liquid Eyeliner
F – Red Earth Eye Definer

A – Stila Glaze Lip Liner in Pink
B – The Body Shop Lip Line Fixer
Both lipliners and eyeliners isn’t something I constantly bother to put on, so really, I don’t put too much importance on these otherwise essential steps to most girls. What can I say, I just like my makeup routine to be as simplified as can be, though its becoming more and more complex due to the many layers of mineral powders that I brush on in the morning from concealer to finishing veils.
There you go! That’s my two-cents worth to share on my makeup collection. Will update from time to time as I build up on my collection or if there is a significant change in the composition of my makeup collection that I’m so happy and contented with at the moment.
The latest Signature Minerals order has arrived! Wee!I spent quite a bit on this order, but ooh…the happiness that radiates when the order arrived! :->
I purchased the 5 piece Starter Kit which consists of:
- 30g Jar of 6.0 Foundation
- 2 x 20g Jars of Blushes – Adobe Sunset and Desiree Peach
- 2 x 20g Jars of Finishing Veils – Angel Wings and Soft Radiance
Since I’m on a roll, I also ordered more samples of stuff I’ve been curious to try:
- Bisque Concealer
- Soft Sun Color Corrector
- Seashell Blush
- Damask Pink Blush
- Roseberry Shimmer Blush
- Champagne Eye Color
Finally, I also ordered this beautifully luscious collection of travel-sized brushes for $24.95. I’ve started using them and it’s absolutely gorgeous! Like my other Luscious Collection Brushes, this is really nice and soft on the skin and just amazing to have. This is my first complete set of brush collection, and I must say that I’m both a proud and happy customer. Using the right set of brushes is so important in setting the right texture and feel for your makeup. I’ve only just realized how important a good set of brushes is to makeup application. I’ve always just bought my makeup brushes from drugstores, but no siree, not anymore. I’ve felt the best, so I only want the best for my skin today forward.
I’ve always wanted to own this fragrance. In fact, I’ve been catching sniffs and whiffs of it everytime I’m at a departmental store to satisfy my urge and temptation to purchasing it. Finally, I purchased it after almost a year of tempting and tantalizing myself with it’s sweet, sweet scent.I purchased on Strawberrynet for only $37 as it was on sale in lieu of Mothers’ Day.
Description:
Year Introduced – 2006
Olfactive Family – Fruity Floral
Salvatore Ferragamo’s new scent is the third in the Incanto series, following on from Incanto in 2003 and Incanto Dream in 2005. Incanto Charms, a fruity & flowery fragrance, is free-spirited, feminine, and glamorous.
Top notes: Passionfruit, Honeysuckle
Heart notes: Jasmine, Ottoman rose
Base notes: White musk, Amyris wood
Bottomline is, after trying on this scent for almost a month or so now, I can safely say that I am completely in love with the scent. All previous temptations of having it have been justified. It is just heavenly. It has a fresh, fruity-like scent that feels and smells so youthful and sweet. Its light enough to be worn to work as an everyday scent. When I wore it to work, everyone seems to notice the lovely scent and asked me what fragrance I was wearing. They all agreed this one is just oh-so-heavenly.
You’ll truly feel like a glorious flower bouquet wearing this. I do. The blends of honeysuckle, passionfruit, jasmine, ottoman rose, amyris wood and musk just combine into this beautiful and charming scent and on me, it feels long-lasting. The few dabs that I put on in the morning lasts all through the workday, which is fantastic.
Since I’ve been wearing this in the colder season, I’m unsure as to whether the fragrance die-down would be affected in the hot summer months. Shall comment on that later on. Hopefully, it doesn’t. Noting the fact that it is a spring/summery sort of scent, might not be too bad after all during those sweltering months ahead.
I’m overall happy with this feminine and lovely scent. I do wish to try the other Incanto fragrances to compare. If I do, I’ll keep all of you posted here.
Description: This mild, all natural mask sheet is formulated with Rose and Pine extracts to hydrate skin and improve elasticity while indulging the senses in its romantic aroma.
Aroma therapeutic benefits of Pine:
* Refreshes and combats fatigue
* Helps protect against eczema and infection

Aroma therapeutic benefits of Rose:
* Relieves tension and stress
* Purifies skin
This mask can be purchased at The Face Shop outlets in Australia for only $4.90. Like other Face Shop mask sheets, it comes out from the packaging dripping wet and completely soaked in the liquid. However, it really does quench your skin’s thirst and definitely makes skin seem more refreshed and clean. I used this at the end of a long and tired day and it helps in making me feel more energetic. That’s definitely attributable to the wonderfully pleasant aroma of Rose and Pine in the mask sheet which helps you relax and unwind and prep up for another day with a cleaner and fresher, as well as more supple skin.
My sister purchased this back in Malaysia last summer. I’ve only managed to snare the product away and used it a couple of times, but I do love it. The color’s gorgeous, beautiful gold glimmer shadow and so so easy to apply and smooth on your eyelids.Description: Powder eye shadow with satin pearl touch, which makes fine glow and silky sparkle, provides glamour and shine to eye areas with glittering pearls. Tip eye shadow easy to use to make gorgeous and glimmering eye areas is an interesting reminder of traditional Swiss food Fondue.

Isn’t the color gorgeous? Since I am a person who have an absolute love for neutrals and sun-kissed looks, there is no doubt as to why I love this product. Its a perfect color for both night and day use. You can always glam it up a notch or two for a night out and it is definitely subtle enough for day use.
The texture is nice, smooth and creamy and the crayon-like pencil makes it oh-so-easy to put on eyeshadow. I wish all my eyeshadows are made this way, then maybe I won’t be so lazy to put them on. Perhaps I should go on a little splurge and purchase this kind of eyeshadow makes. I’m pretty sure Skin Food isn’t the only one making such a product.
I’m shy, so all the swatch you’ll see on my blog will be parked on my hands.
As you can see from the swatch above, it’s slightly sheer and has little sparkly shimmers which will just brighten and make your eyes dazzle with a little touch of glam and glimmer. I have slightly tanned yellow-based skin, and even on mine it shows up, so I can just imagine how beautiful the shimmer would be for all you fair ladies out there. I’m not too sure how much it costs, but I believe it’s around RM20 a stick.
Bottomline, this is a fantastic eye shadow crayon which is both easy to apply and shows such gorgeous color on the eyes.
Isn’t that the biggest and the fattest bottle of lotion you’ve ever seen? I’ve used this product so many times and loved it so much that I just have to buy this massively huge tub when it was on sale for only $13 at Big W to keep my skin perfectly moisturized and hydrated all through autumn and winter.Description: It is through our skin’s extraordinary sense of touch that we experience the world. But without care, the effects of heat and sun can strip away skin’s natural moisture, leaving it dry and its senses dull.
Aloe Vera Lotion awakens skin with a sheer, light burst of hydration and quick-penetrating conditioners, leaving it smooth and refreshed.
Key Ingredients
- Soothing Aloe and Cucumber formula – leaves skin feeling cool and refreshed
- Conditioning moisturisers – provide an instant burst of hydration
The scent is fresh – a mix of aloe and cucumber. It’s nice and fresh, perfect for use after a shower. It really does do its job well, keeps my skin really hydrated throughout the day and is basically my HG body lotion product. It’s soothing to the skin, isn’t sticky and has a fairly light texture which makes it easy to apply and smooth all over your body.
I guess the only thing I don’t like about it is it’s packaging. The pump makes it hard to get to the lotion when the product’s clinging to its life, at the end. The normal squeeze type packaging also makes it hard to squeeze the last bits out. So maybe Vaseline could think of better ways to package this to make it easier or have a pump which dispenses the product even when the product’s clinging to the last threads of it’s livelihood.
Bottomline, I really have no bad complaints about it. I love it, always have and probably always will. Its a cheap and effective product which does what it’s supposed to do.
